What's Coming To The Westside

To the west of 75, Atlanta's (arguably) best restaurants, shopping, and entertainment thrive. It's no secret that the only thing keeping you from spending every night on the west side of town is, of course, the traffic. Just when you thought the Westside couldn't get any better, 2017 brings plans for expansion to fulfill the area's potential!

Beginning with the reimagining of a steel factory that became Atlantic Station in 2005, the Westside of Atlanta continues to be a developer's dream. Established in 2008, Westside Provision District is home to Atlanta favorites including Bungalow Classic, Peridot West, JCT. Kitchen & Bar, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, Taqueria del Sol, Ormsby's, and more. Trendy spots like Upbeet, Barcelona Wine Bar, Yeah! Burger, West Egg Cafe, and The Optimist also found their home on the Westside. Beyond dining, you'll find weekend hangs such as Monday Night Brewing, Topgolf, and Terminal West.

Westside Village - Eden Rock Real Estate Partners

Further North, plans for two large-scale developments have emerged for the newly coined "Upper Westside" of Atlanta. You better believe that along with shopping, dining, and retail - Westside real estate is about to get hot!

Westside Village at Moores Mill

Where Marietta meets Moores Mill, the desperate need for retail is finally being met. Eden Rock is bringing a shopping center that will be walkable for over 1,700 surrounding new construction homes. With hopes for Spring 2018 construction, the 90,000 square feet are ready to be leased and become the new trendiest spots in the area.

The Works

Selig Development revealed plans in August for an 80 acre site along Chattahoochee Avenue. The Works will redevelop 40 buildings with historical character that will find new purpose in the next decade. With hopes of becoming a top destination in Atlanta, the project will include a boutique hotel, residences, office space, retail, restaurants, entertainment, and greenspace. The 1.5 million square feet of transformed space will roll out in phases over the upcoming years.
