Buckhead Neighborhood Guide: Peachtree Heights East

Welcome to Peachtree Heights East!

Located off Peachtree and Lakeview

Peachtree Heights East is a beloved neighborhood distinguished by the Duck Pond that neighbors and Buckhead residents have enjoyed for generations.

The land for Peachtree Heights East was purchased by Eretus “Petie” Rivers (who E. Rivers Elementary is named after) in 1906 and continued development until his death in 1932. His widow Una Rivers deeded the Duck Pond and park in a trust to be preserved for the benefit of the neighborhood.

The Duck Pond was built in 1922 by residents Mr. Henry Jacobs and Mr. Nat Sage and it underwent a major restoration in 2001. It continues to be supported and maintained by the community through Peachtree Heights East Neighborhood Association and The Ladies of the Lake Garden Club.

Neighborhood Features:

The Duck Pond and surrounding parks total 7.35 acres of privately owned and maintained land for the enjoyment of the neighborhood. The serene setting is a Buckhead favorite for walks, picnics, family photos, fishing, and birdwatching.
