Brookwood Hills was established in the 1920s and developed by the Burdett family. The neighborhood offers unique privacy in an urban setting where Buckhead meets Midtown.

Brookwood Hills Community Club has been the heart of the neighborhood since its formation in 1939. Residents are loyal fans of the neighborhood due to its unique amenities and close community feel.

Brookwood Hills is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Conservation District of the City of Atlanta. Several prominent Atlanta architects designed homes in Brookwood Hills including Neel Reid, Burge and Stevens, Ivy and Crook, Alger and Vinour, and Pringle and Smith.

Brookwood Hills Community Club is private and neighborhood-owned on over 5 acres of land in the center of the community.
